A DTS stands for:

A Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a five- to six-month journey. It is a unique opportunity to set everything else aside and to focus on knowing God and making God known.
During the DTS you will grow in intimacy with God, discover identity and purpose, and strengthen your faith by actively revealing God’s love to others.
The DTS will lay a foundation of hearing and obeying God for the rest of your life. This experience will spoil you for the ordinary.

PURSUE HIM

LECTURE PHASE: KNOW GOD

The first 3 months of your DTS, commonly called the “lecture phase”, will be spent at the YWAM Hurlach castle, learning from trusted speakers on foundational discipleship topics such as: “The Nature and Character of God”, “Hearing God’s Voice”, “Identity”, “Relationships”, “Missions”, and so many more.

The goal of the lecture phase is to allow God to change your life based on what you’re learning and not have it just be head-knowledge. You will also spend time weekly engaging in worship, prayer, and developing a skill or passion (called electives) of your choice to see how it can be used in missions. All of this happens in a live-learn environment with people who are all running after the same thing – To know God and make Him known.

OUTREACH: MAKE GOD KNOWN

The second phase of your DTS will be spent on a 2-month outreach. This phase allows you to put into practice everything you just learned and to share the good news of Jesus cross-culturally. Outreach will provide you with a glimpse of cross-cultural missions as your team serves alongside local believers, existing ministries, and long-term missionaries.

PURPOSE-CRAFTED

FOCUS TRACKS

We believe that God has placed skills and passions in your life for a divine purpose. During your lecture phase, you will spend several hours a week expanding your skill set in the elective of your choice. Learn how to use your passion for the purpose of making God known in the world.

DIGITAL MARKETING

What to expect?

Churches and Christian organizations are embracing the digital age, and this course will teach you three essential components of digital marketing:
1. Branding: Learn how to create a powerful visual identity with logos, color schemes, and graphic design.
2. Web Development: Master WordPress and the principles of UI & UX to build impactful and user-friendly websites.
3. Facebook Ads: Use Meta Ads to effectively spread your message to a broader audience.
Through real-world projects, you’ll gain the skills needed to support the Christian mission in today’s modern world.

ARTS & MUSIC

What to expect?

Learn to develop and use your artistic skills for the glory of God. In the arts & music track we will help you gain a deeper understanding of the beauty we find in the world and why it is important to cultivate creativity in the form of arts and music. In our art projects we will challenge you to develop your skills in order to express the message God has given you with greater excellence. Become a messenger of beauty, goodness and truth.

SOCCER

What to expect?

God has given us all very different talents and desires that we get to use to glorify him. With the soccer track our goal is to reach the people through the world’s most popular sport. Our focus is to learn how we can be a blessing to our teammates, coaches, opponents, the referees but also any soccer fan in the world through our way of playing and living. Many athletes give praise to God, but their behavior on the field or in the public shows otherwise. So as followers of Christ with the love of the sport of soccer, it is our job to lead by example, glorify God through everything we do on and off the field and learn how to represent God’s kingdom as an athlete. During the track, a time of playing soccer, we want to be competitive but fair and enjoy fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

The Leadership Track offers various topics/modules designed to develop authentic leaders who can positively influence others with or without power and position.

Leadership comes in all shapes and sizes, colors and ages and that is why you are qualified.

REFUND POLICY

Application Fee and the Visa & Health Insurance Fees (if necessary) are not refundable. Lecture Fees have to be paid by 25th September 2024 with the start of the lecture phase.

LANGUAGE

The teachings will be in English, We will have german translation for the first three weeks.
